The establishment of McKinstry's first fabrication shop outside the Pacific Northwest in Austin adds a vital component to its Texas operations. Brian Antonsen, Senior Vice President of National Construction, emphasized the competitive advantage this move provides: “Having a fabrication shop allows us to control the supply chain, speeding up project timelines while enhancing quality and safety in our outputs.” The shop is projected to commence operations in early 2026 and aims to produce essential components for clients across Texas and in central and eastern U.S. regions.
